Swimming Teacher- Casual Position

Sylvestrian Leisure Centre requires an experienced, enthusiastic swimming Teacher to be able to help children from ages 3 – 16 to develop confidence, proper swimming techniques and skills within a swimming pool environment. The swim instructor’s responsibilities include evaluating each student’s performance during swim sessions and providing feedback, completing attendance and progress records in line with STAs criteria and the centres policies.

Holiday Activities Staff- Casual Position

We are looking for enthusiastic and hard working individuals to work for us during each half term and holiday for our extremely popular Holiday Activities. Staff need to be over the age of 18, a qualification in childcare is desirable but not compulsory.

Fitness instructor- Casual Position

We are looking for an accredited fitness instructor to develop and lead fitness classes that utilize safe and effective movements using standard exercises and presenting a positive and competent image of Sylvestrian Leisure Centre. This person is responsible for continuous high quality customer service, which includes, but is not limited to, meeting customer needs, presenting a positive attitude and contributing to our fitness program.

What happens after applying?

Once you have sent your application form in, a member of our team will be in contact to organise an interview.

After the interview, the team will be in contact telling you either your successful or unsuccessful. If your successful, you will be invited in for an induction and we will organise a few shadow shifts with a experienced member of the team.

How do I become a Lifeguard?

To become part of our Lifeguard team, you will need to hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, with the RLSS. To find out more about the qualification, please visit our course page.

Once you hold the qualification, you can apply by completing our application form.

All lifeguards will need to pass a competency exam following from a successful interview.
