Parent & Baby, Non-Swimmer and Beginner lessons are available. All our swimming groups focus on individual improvement through group exercises. We aim for 8** children per class (12 for Improvers and Rookies) so that we can focus on the needs of each child. Our swimming teachers are all qualified through the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) or Swimming teachers Association (STA) and we follow the recommended ASA National Teaching Plan. We operate weekday evenings from 5pm and from 9am over at weekends.

Parent & Baby and Aquatots - Fun-packed sessions improving water confidence whilst learning how much fun swimming can be. During lessons we use songs, games, toys and group exercises to develop babies and toddlers in the water. Parents/guardians are also in the water to join in the fun.

Non-Swimmer - Lessons for any child that cannot swim. In this class your child will gain water confidence and develop independent movement. Introduction is made to multi-stroke swimming using a range of floating devices.

Beginner Lessons - For any child who can swim up to 5 metres on their front or back. In this class swimming technique will improve, giving your child more confidence in the water. They will also be introduced to more advanced water skills.

Improver Lessons - For any child who can swim between 10 metres and 100 metres in any three of the four recognised strokes. Needing advanced techniques to possibly promote into competitive swimming and stamina work.

Rookie Lifeguard - Suitable for those that can swim 200 metres and wishing to build stamina and lifesaving skills in the open water. Good introduction to the RLSS Pool Lifeguard Professional Qualification.

When you enrol on a Sylvestrian Swimming Course you can expect the following: Every child will receive a free swimming hat Every child will receive a certificate upon completion of an ASA level qualification Badges will be available to purchase from Reception Each course has a set criteria; these will be handed to parents after week two

Please register your interest by completing the enquiry form. We shall then be in touch.
